BU Material Tools

In the material properties section of an asset you can find the BU Material Tools This is a very early stage tool set and will be expanded soon! If you have any suggestion feel free to contact us! Our aim is to improve the workflow of artists and make it easier to quickly process materials.

Set active material

Its often difficult to view different materials on an asset. With the set active material you can quickly switch between active materials. Select the material you want to have as active and press the "Set active material" Button so switch between active materials

Make Material from Directory Textures ( this name needs to change)

When working with Substance painter you can quickly load in new materials by using this tool. When you press the button a browser will open. Make sure the names of the textures are correctly formatted as shown in the image below. After you have selected your materials a new material will be added to the active object with the default name BU_Material.
