Add-on settings
In the add-on settings you will find all settings related to the UniBlend add-on. These settings are also available in the (side) n-panel in the 3d viewport. You can open the viewport panels by clicking the Open Viewport panels button, or by pressing the letter n in the 3d viewport.
Our add-on makes use of the Build in Asset Browser. Any library you create needs a name and a path. Instead of having to create the required folder structure we have made it easy for you to get everything setup.
First create a folder somewhere on your computer with enough space. The Library Location should be the main folder. To keep things organized make sure its a new empty folder. The below image is an example. In this example we created a folder to hold the libraries in the documents directory on our computer. You can choose any location you prefer.
After creating the main folder you can select that folder in the add-on preferences by clicking on the folder icon and setting it the folder you created. If the path is set correctly you will see a check-mark on the left side. Optionally you can lock the location so you don't accidentally change it. You can unlock it at any time
The add-on will detect if library paths need to be created. When you click Create Asset Library the add-on will create the required folders in the main folder you selected at the Library location. The names UniBlend_Demo and UniBlend_Premium should appear with a check-mark next to them. This indicates that the paths and libraries are set and linked correctly. To confirm you can go to edit>preferences>file paths. There should be two libraries UniBlend_Demo and UniBlend_Premium with the path set to the folders shown below.
The BU_User_Upload is not set as a library path as this folder is used to store zips when uploading assets to the library More info about uploading can be found in the Upload assets to server section
The above settings are related to how our add-on will handle assets when we sync the library. By default they are set to manual so that the users has full control over what happens with the assets.
In some cases an asset will no longer be on the server but will still be on the users local library location. This can happen because:
We renamed an asset (Example: Chair_wood > Chair_wood_damaged)
We have an upgraded version of the asset that is more optimized / has new features and there for renamed.
The asset is no longer available, had issues, or did not meet our standards.
To keep the library clean we added two possible options.
The following two settings belong to asset uploading.
Info about these two settings can be found at the links below
