Blenders Asset browser has a Name or tag filter that you can use to search or filter out certain assets. All preview assets have a placeholder tag

All Original assets have a Original tag

Both placeholders and original assets have a tag showing in what blender version it was uploaded in. If you encounter any issues with an asset make sure to check if you are using the correct blender version. With the Search filters and catalogs you can quickly find a desired asset.
